A warm Christmas day welcome from Fibromyalgia
16 December 2008
Do you know a senior citizen who spends Christmas Day on their own?
Fibromyalgia's North West Support Group is holding its 19th Christmas Day Special, when they invite senior citizens for some Christmas dinner and festive cheer.
Margaret Peacock, Director of the charity in Northern Ireland says: "Anyone who would usually spend Christmas day on their own is invited along to Mountfern Adult Centre between 12noon and 6pm on Christmas Day.
"We can transport you to and from your home for the event, everything is free, and those in attendance will get a four course Christmas dinner. There will also be a full programme of entertainment, followed by a buffet tea and of course Santa will be in attendance to give everyone a special little gift."
Margaret and her team have dedicated this year's events to Margaret's sister, Maisie Thompson, nee Peacock, who passed away in September.
