RiverView Health’s women’s membership program My New View will host the second annual “Women’s Fest” in Crookston on Wednesday, May 6 from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. The event will feature three educational presentations, as well as free acupuncture demonstrations, blood pressure checks, blood cholesterol screens, blood sugar checks, bone density screens, foot arch screens, skin cancer screens, door prizes, and refreshments.
Physical therapist Kathy Johnson will present “Fibromyalgia from a Physical Therapy Perspective” at 3:15 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m. Johnson will discuss the symptoms and diagnosis of fibromyalgia as well as treatment options.
At 3:15 and 4:15 p.m., family nurse practitioner Kari Anderson will discuss “Common Female Urology Problems”. Anderson will address urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and other common female urology problems.
Dr. Debra Bell will present “Tips for Living a Healthy Life” 4:15 and 5:15 p.m. Dr. Bell’s presentation will include general wellness and preventative care information for women.
